IDCA Acheivments

IDCA is a Non profit organisation that has been providing assistance to the community on an ongoing basis.

IDCA continues to be a strong support for many Muslims and their families.

In this short time IDCA has worked hard and accomplished a great deal across a range of services. Achievements are as follows:

 

Continuing Dawah to Muslims and Non Muslims

  • IDCA has been committed to guiding Muslims and Non Muslims to Islam
  • Dedicated brothers and sisters follow up and support these Muslims in this crucial time as they continue to learn about their deen.
  • Books and audio visual products given free to support Muslims in learning their deen.
  • IDCA has commited in providing Q & A for those with islamic questions and queries.

Street Dawah

  • The Brothers from IDCA weekly distribute flyers, thousands of dawah CD's and provide street dawah to different area and spread awareness of Islam.

Counselling provided to the Muslims

  • At IDCA, confidential telephone counselling is provided on an ongoing basis, dealing with many issues facing Muslims today.
  • Counselling sessions are conducted under Islamic guidelines.

Outreach Dawah Program

  • IDCA has been involved in Outreach Dawah in Newcastle and more recently in Young, an isolated town approx. three and half hours from Sydney.
  • Brothers from  IDCA took a three day trip to give dawah to the small muslim community, spending their time giving lessons and any counselling the Muslims required.
  • This linkup was well appreciated by the Muslims in Young, where access to lectures and lessons is very limited.
  • The IDCA brothers put on a BBQ for the community and donated a complete set of IDCA’s audio visual products to set up an Islamic audio visual library, for regular use by the Young community.
  • Future trips and ongoing support to Young and other isolated Muslim communities are planned.
  • IDCA offers a Training program where brothers are supported and encouraged to learn skills in giving lectures and talks, in order to continue with valuable activities such as these.
  • A number of brothers participating in this training give Islamic talks and lessons after Ishaa Salat at the Omar Mosque on Fridays. 

Quran School running successfully for the last 3 years

  • Quran with TAJWEED taught to all students
  • Quran memorisation taught to all students 
  • Levels offered from beginners to advanced
  • Children’s classes to adults are held in small groups to maximise individual attention
  • All classes held in an Islamic environment with teenagers and adults classes strictly segregated.
  • More than 100 students currently enrolled and successfully learning Quran with authentic Tajweed techniques.
  • By the will of Allah, IDCA has proudly completed a four year curriculum, which will enable the students upon graduation to have a firm understanding of the Quranic language.

Lessons conducted for brothers and sisters on a weekly basis

  • Talks are held regularly at Omar Mosque on a Friday night after Ishaa Salat
  • A sister’s lesson is held weekly to bring the sisters together to learn Quran and foster a sense of sisterhood. 

Eid Festivals

  • IDCA Eid Festivals have been held since 2006 providing families with opportunities to celebrate the Eid in an Islamic environment.
  • Amusement rides and other activities such as Islamic quizzes, have given families the chance to get together and have fun with other families, during this special time of celebration.
  • Delicious food and drinks were provided at reasonable cost for all to enjoy.
  • Attendance at the Eid festivals has been excellent with an average of three thousand people at each of the festivals. 

Junior Athletics carnival

·         An Athletics carnival was held for children aged from 4 years to 12 years.

·         More than 100 children participated.

·         Children were given the opportunity to participate in a range of athletics events including: Long Jump, High Jump, 100 Metres and Relay races.

·         Prizes for First, Second and Third Places were given for each event.

·         A sausage sizzle was held and many families took advantage of this great family day.

IDCA Productions

IDCA has held, edited and produced many dvd and audio titles, all productions are produced and edited in house by our graphics and technical team.

  • With a training routine established IDCA aims to teach and educate the brothers and sisters of the centre to fulfil the needs of the community
  • On going audio Quranic media with a wide rage of reciter.

IDCA Dinners are held on a regular basis

  • These dinners encourage and assist in the development of a sense of sister and brotherhood within the community.
  • Guest speakers are invited to speak on range of topics according to the needs of the community.
  • IDCA dinners provide opportunities for social gatherings to foster friendships and support for Muslims in an Islamic environment.
  • Dinners are held for brothers and sisters under strict segregation according to Islamic guidelines.
